Le Fate, is a successful brand in the restaurant industry since 1998. Formally located in Rome in the Trastevere District, it operated until 2013. At that time the founder and chef decided to move the business to Umbria, where they've had a restaurant in the city of Foligno since 2012.
The choice of this new location was based upon the family's estate which has now been converted to a bed & breakfast with an attached restaurant. The main house has four bedrooms, each with a private bath, lakeviews, a living room with a fireplace that creates a buffer zone between the different areas of the property and a lounge with a corner bar where one can relax with friends and family. The midieval town of Sellano where Le Fate Umbria is located characterizes this area. It has origins dating back to the 1300's. It is situated 700 m (about 2297 feet) above sea level and it is located along the Vigi River Valley which is a northern tributary of the Nera River, a few kilometers between Assisi and Spoleto.
The lower floor has been converted into an independent space with a professional kitchen and restaurant, where Chef Massimo organizes demonstrations and prepares the typical delicious dishes of this region.
